Most roles are in India: Gurugram, Pune, and Noida. US roles are hybrid in New York City, Alpharetta, Georgia, and Short Hills, New Jersey. Two US roles are remote. The remote Policygenius sales role is not open to people who live in seven states, California and New York among them. Postings do not mention visa sponsorship.

Teams and roles

The board has 20 roles. Product management is the largest group, with six roles. Five of them are in India.

• Insurance operations in Gurugram: licensing, new business for annuities, and client support.
• Policygenius: a remote life insurance sales associate and a social media manager.
• Sales, account management, finance, and legal roles.

Six of the nine US postings give pay ranges. They go from $45,000 to $50,000 for the sales associate up to $200,000 to $230,000 for a senior director.

What they look for

The software roles ask for AWS and API design, and two of them ask for six or more years of experience. The identity engineer role asks for OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and TypeScript or Node.js. The Software Engineer III role asks for five to seven years of .NET and C#, SQL Server, and experience that adds LLM features to products. The staff role asks for API gateways such as Apigee or Kong.

Most product manager roles ask for five or more years in product management, a degree in technology, and API integration, SQL, and data analysis. Life insurance and annuity experience is a plus. The operations roles in Gurugram ask for a degree and typing at 30 or more words a minute with 98 percent accuracy. They also ask for work on night shifts or US shifts. The Policygenius sales role asks for an active life insurance license and one to two years in phone sales.
