The company, in brief.
What they do
Visible makes software for founders and venture capital investors. VC firms use it to collect portfolio data, monitor performance, and report to their LPs. Founders use it to raise capital, share data rooms, and send investor updates. More than 6,100 founders and 950 funds use Visible. It started in Chicago in 2014 and is profitable.
What they value
- Inside out: take care of yourself first, then the team and customers.
- Bias for action: own your work and act when in doubt.
- Do the difficult, with a long-term outlook.
- Make better tacos: keep improving the product and processes.
- Async habits and clear written communication.
- Quality over quantity, with tested and reviewed code.
Where they hire
Visible is fully remote. The analyst role is open across the US, prefers Austin, Chicago, Denver, or Indianapolis, and needs 6 hours of overlap with Chicago. The engineer role is remote within 3 hours of US Eastern time. The postings say nothing about visa sponsorship.
Teams and roles
Visible is a small team of about twenty people. It is hiring for two roles.
- Analyst, Services and Onboarding: on the Customer Success team, this analyst turns portfolio data from Excel, PDF, and CSV files into structured data and checks it against the source. The analyst also owns internal AI agent workflows and prompts. Pay is $75,000 to $110,000.
- Full Stack Engineer: a mid-to-senior engineer works on a Ruby on Rails API, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Ember.js, deployed to Heroku and Vercel. The team uses a version of Shape Up and holds weekly mob programming sessions. Pay is $90,000 to $120,000.
Both roles get equity, full health, dental, and vision cover, a 401(k), unlimited PTO, and two paid team offsites a year.
What they look for
Both postings call their requirements guide rails and ask you to apply if you love the role. Both ask for at least 2 years of experience: with financial data for the analyst, and with Rails or Ember for the engineer. The analyst role prefers a degree in finance, accounting, or economics. Both want people who want to be part of a small, growth-minded team. The interview has four parts, including a paid project that takes less than a day.
