About Ubisoft

The company, in brief.

What they do

Ubisoft makes video games with teams around the world. Its games include Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six, Just Dance, Far Cry, For Honor, and Splinter Cell. It recently acquired March of Giants, a free-to-play game. Its mission is to enrich players' lives with original and memorable gaming experiences.

What they value

  • Create original and memorable experiences for players.
  • Combine talent and imagination with new technology.
  • Bring diverse perspectives, which help players and teams do well.
  • Build a safer, more inclusive workplace.
  • Give back to local communities and reduce the environmental impact of the business.

Where they hire

Of the 310 Postings, 150 are in Montreal and about 75 in Paris and Saint-Mandé. Others are in Annecy, Montpellier, Chengdu, Bucharest, Malmö, and Newcastle. Most roles are in an office. A few mention a hybrid model, and Kyiv roles can be remote. Some UK roles offer no visa sponsorship. Many Postings are in French.

Teams and roles

Information technology has the most Postings, then engineering, art, and design.

  • Programming: engine, gameplay, AI, audio, UI, backend, and anti-cheat programmers, many on Rainbow Six Siege, Far Cry, and March of Giants.
  • Game creation: game designers, level designers, animators, riggers, artists, and technical directors.
  • IT and security: cybersecurity, reliability of tools and servers, and IT support roles. Several security and data roles are in Saint-Mandé near Paris.
  • Marketing and business: brand, product, and growth marketing, community developers, producers, and legal and finance roles.
  • Early careers: about 30 internships, most of them six-month internships in Paris starting in January 2027.

What they look for

Most Postings are for mid-level and senior roles. Programmer roles ask for a degree in computer science or a related field. The Far Cry engine programmer role asks for 5+ years of work and strong knowledge of how a game engine is built. Artists, riggers, and game designers send a portfolio with their CV. A rigger builds the skeletons and controls that animators use to move characters. The Rainbow Six Siege rigger role asks for 3ds Max, Python scripting, and work on AAA (big-budget) games. The For Honor game designer role asks for work on combat systems or multiplayer features. The data scientist role in Singapore asks for 3+ years of applied machine learning and Python. A backend role in Saint-Mandé asks for the Go language, Kubernetes (a tool that runs software across many servers), and both French and English.
