Turno helps commercial vehicle operators in India switch to electric vehicles. It finances electric three-wheelers, leases electric buses to fleet operators, and sells energy storage made from used EV batteries. Its models work out what a battery is worth across its life. Where they hire

Office roles in credit operations, tele sales, and marketing are in Bangalore. Field sales and collections roles are spread over many cities. Many are in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, and Tamil Nadu. Others are in Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. Field roles travel a lot.

Teams and roles

Most open roles are in sales and collections for vehicle loans. There are no engineering or product roles on the board.

• Collections: field officers who visit customers with overdue vehicle loans, agree repayment plans, and work with repo agents in extreme cases. There is also an area collection manager.
• Dealer channel: field executives who sell commercial vehicle loans and follow up on overdue accounts. A regional sales manager runs the three-wheeler loan business across Bihar and leads a sales team.
• Repo and resale: a service manager who gets repossessed electric rickshaws inspected, repaired, and ready for resale. There are also pre-sales and field sales executives.
• Distribution: tele sales executives in Bangalore, and an insurance specialist.
• Credit operations: executives who check KYC and loan documents and handle documents after a loan is paid out.
• Also: a marketing intern who runs WhatsApp marketing and qualifies leads.

What they look for

Field roles want two to five years in auto loans, commercial vehicle loans, or field collections, and a willingness to travel. Collection officers need a driving licence and their own vehicle. Tele sales roles take six months to four years of inside sales, and freshers who communicate very well can apply. Hindi is mandatory for tele sales and credit operations. The service manager needs an automobile or mechanical background and knowledge of EV batteries. The regional sales manager needs eight to twelve years in vehicle finance.
