About Taktile

The company, in brief.

What they do

Taktile makes a decision platform for banks and insurers that uses AI agents. Customers combine AI agents, rules, context, and human review to automate decisions. These include credit approval, customer onboarding, fraud checks, and insurance claims. Mercury, Monzo, Faire, and Pleo use it. Taktile started in 2020 and says it has more than 200 customers.

What they value

  • Customer value obsession: value that customers can feel and measure.
  • Extreme ownership: own outcomes, not activities.
  • One team: challenge and support each other.
  • Will to win: do not settle for good enough.
  • Radical candor: care personally and give direct, honest feedback.
  • A flat hierarchy, with direct access to the founding team.

Where they hire

Every open role is hybrid, at least three days a week in an office. Postings name Berlin, New York, London, Iasi, Dublin, and São Paulo. Engineering team roles are in Berlin, London, Iasi, or Dublin. One backend role gives no relocation help. Some roles ask for German or Portuguese. Postings do not mention visa sponsorship.

Teams and roles

Taktile says it raised $184M from investors that include Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Index Ventures, and Tiger Global. Of the 36 open roles, 11 are in Value Delivery, which runs customer projects. Six are in engineering. The rest are in sales, solutions, business development, product, people, partnerships, marketing, and legal.

  • Forward Deployed Engineers: work directly with customers and lead their AI deployments, from the first use case to production. They work in Python and SQL.
  • Deployment Leads: guide enterprise customers through complex AI projects, before and after the sale.
  • Senior Applied AI Engineers: build AI agents for financial decisions and turn them into reusable products.
  • Senior Full-Stack Engineers: build the agent runtime and copilot features, or the access control platform, in React, TypeScript, and Python.
  • Senior Backend Engineers: build the data systems for feature computation, or the CI and deploy tools that every engineer uses. CI runs the tests on each change.
  • Software engineering interns in Berlin and Iasi.

The stack is Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, React, and AWS serverless tools. Engineers use AI tools such as Claude every day. Most New York postings give a pay range, and most of those offer equity.

What they look for

Senior backend and full-stack roles ask for five to seven or more years of experience. They ask for backend work, mostly in Python, and AWS. Full-stack roles also ask for React, TypeScript, and strong engineering basics with a passion for simplicity. The developer tools role asks for CI at scale and daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code.

Forward deployed and applied AI roles ask for three to six years of engineering, data science, or customer-facing technical work. They ask for clean Python and SQL, and REST APIs. They prefer a degree in a field such as computer science, mathematics, or physics. AI work in financial services is a plus. These roles ask for strong relationships with customers, and the forward deployed roles also ask for curiosity and a low ego. Full-stack and intern postings ask for fluent written and spoken English. Interns need strong computer science basics.
