The company, in brief.
What they do
Stable gives companies a business address and a dashboard to manage their physical mail online. It scans and forwards mail, deposits checks, and offers a registered agent in any US state. An API and webhooks let other teams integrate with it. More than 15,000 companies, such as Brex, DoorDash, and Gusto, use Stable as their permanent business address.
What they value
- Be human: lead with empathy, act with authenticity, and enjoy the work.
- Stay curious: ask why, listen, and tinker to find new solutions.
- Act quickly with purpose: focus on what matters, and improve step by step.
- Insist on exceptional outcomes, and take ownership of them.
- Exceed customer expectations with each interaction.
Where they hire
Stable calls itself remote-friendly. Six of nine postings allow work from anywhere in US time zones, and name New York City, Denver, San Francisco, or Dallas. Two processing center roles are on site in Dallas. A mail contractor works on site in New York City and must be authorized to work in the US. No posting mentions visa sponsorship.
Teams and roles
Stable is an early-stage startup with a small team. It is backed by Y Combinator, Craft Ventures, and others.
- Marketing: a growth lead, a content marketing manager, and a product marketing manager.
- Product: a product engineer and a product designer. The engineer works across the frontend, backend, and sometimes hardware, with React, TypeScript, Node, GraphQL, MySQL, and AWS. Work includes the dashboard, mail operations software, AI that classifies mail, and the API.
- Sales: a sales development representative.
- Mail operations: a shift lead and a specialist in the Dallas processing center, and an independent contractor in New York City.
Most postings state a pay range. The office roles add equity, and the mail roles pay $17 to $25 an hour.
What they look for
The product engineer role asks for three or more years and customer empathy. The designer role asks for six or more years at fast-moving companies. The marketing roles ask for five or more years, and the growth lead for eight or more. The growth lead also needs AI fluency, such as workflows or agents built for work. The SDR role is for zero to one year of experience. Mail roles want comfort with scanners, label printers, and scales, and one asks for prior mail processing, fulfillment, or warehouse work. The postings do not describe the interview steps.
