The company, in brief.
What they do
Skyroot Aerospace builds launch vehicles that carry small satellites to orbit. Vikram-I launched in 2026 and carries up to 350 kg to low Earth orbit. Vikram-II uses a cryogenic engine and is due in 2027. In 2022, Vikram-S was the first private rocket that India launched. Former ISRO scientists started the company in 2018 in Hyderabad.
What they value
- Build fast, and test faster.
- The people are the thrust of the mission.
- Innovation is the fuel: question the norms.
- Integrity guides every decision.
- Grow in leaps, not in small steps.
- Own your projects, and do the work once and right.
Where they hire
All six Postings are full-time roles in Hyderabad, Telangana. No Posting offers remote work. No Posting mentions visa sponsorship or right to work. The Kalpana Fellowship on the careers page is open to Indian nationals only.
Teams and roles
- Avionics: a hardware design engineer and an FPGA engineer. They design and test the electronics boards that fly on the rocket.
- Integration and test: an electrical integration and test engineer, and a LabVIEW quality engineer for the automated test and checkout systems.
- Manufacturing: an industrial engineer who improves production flow with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methods.
- IT: a senior administrator for servers, networks, and firewalls.
- The careers page also runs the Kalpana Fellowship. It is a 12-month program for final-year students and recent graduates in engineering.
What they look for
Every Posting asks for a bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science. Most ask for electronics or electrical engineering. Experience asks run from 2 to 8 years. Five Postings ask for good written and verbal communication. Three ask for hands-on use of test equipment, such as oscilloscopes. Two ask for LabVIEW. Some roles prefer aerospace standards, such as MIL-STD-461, ISRO standards, or AS9100. The hardware role asks for a methodical way of work, with good documentation. The integration Posting welcomes women with career gaps and people from outside aerospace and defence.
