The company, in brief.
What they do
SigNoz makes an open-source observability platform. It brings logs, metrics, and traces into one tool, built natively on OpenTelemetry. Teams use SigNoz Cloud or host it themselves. It also covers APM, alerts, dashboards, and LLM observability. Noz is its AI teammate, and an MCP server gives coding agents the same data. SigNoz is a Y Combinator company.
What they value
- Build in the open: the future of observability is open source.
- Use open standards, so customers avoid vendor lock-in.
- Keep pricing predictable and transparent.
- Take real ownership, from problem discovery to rollout.
- Ship fast, and ship well.
- Talk directly with users.
Where they hire
All 16 Postings name India. Product management also names the United States and Europe. Design and growth marketing also name Europe. SigNoz says it is completely remote, with no offices. Nine Postings carry the remote tag. The AI GTM role asks for some overlap with US hours. The Postings say nothing about the right to work or visa sponsorship.
Teams and roles
Most roles are in engineering. Go is the main backend language.
- Platform: infra, billing tech, auth, RBAC, caching, SaaS scaling, and a petabyte-scale ingest path. It hires senior and staff backend engineers, and a senior SRE for Kubernetes and ClickHouse.
- Pulse: a staff backend engineer builds alerts, and integrations with JIRA and incident.io.
- Nerve, the AI pod: Noz, the MCP server, AI agents, and LLM observability, in Go and Python.
- Frontend: senior and staff engineers work in React and TypeScript on dashboards, traces, logs, and alerts, with a focus on performance.
- Customer engineering: a technical support engineer debugs OpenTelemetry setups and builds the function from scratch.
- Product: a senior product manager for alerts, APM, and onboarding, and a senior product designer.
- Growth: a head of demand gen, a growth marketer, and an AI GTM engineer.
- Finance: a head of finance for the US and India entities.
Two open Postings, Exceptional Engineer and ex-Founders, are not tied to one team.
What they look for
The engineering Postings repeat the same asks. Backend roles want 5 to 10 years of Go and a strong grasp of concurrency and performance. They want people who love open source, ideally with past contributions to OSS projects of any size. Postings ask for ownership from problem discovery to rollout, and clear tech docs that explain trade-offs. Comfort in a fast-moving, remote-first team comes up again and again. Observability, OpenTelemetry, ClickHouse, Kafka, and Kubernetes are nice to have. The frontend Postings say curiosity matters more than past observability work. The AI role says you do not need AI experience. Many Postings welcome people who are, or want to be, founders. The support role is not for people fresh out of college.
