What they look for

Forward deployed and infrastructure engineer roles ask for 5+ years, Python, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. A public sector forward deployed role also asks for TypeScript and comfort with ambiguous, fast-moving work. A post-training research role asks for a PhD or Master's, experience with RLHF (reinforcement learning from human feedback: training a model on people's ratings of its answers), and papers at major conferences. Many public sector roles need an active TS/SCI clearance, a high level of US government security clearance, or the ability to get one. Advisory roles ask for consulting experience at a top firm and daily use of AI tools. HFC fellowships ask for a degree in the field, and some ask for 5+ years.
