What they do

SatSure turns satellite, LiDAR, and aerial imagery into insights that banks, governments, and companies use to make decisions. SatSure Sage helps lenders find, give, and monitor farm loans. SatSure Skies manages aeronautical data for airports and airlines. Its subsidiary KaleidEO builds high-resolution multispectral camera payloads for satellites. SatSure started in 2017.

Where they hire

Every open role that names a place is in Bangalore, India. Two roles name no place. The test engineer and DevOps postings state hybrid work, and the DevOps posting says it is from Bengaluru. One product posting lists remote work support as a benefit. The postings say nothing about work rights or visa sponsorship.

Teams and roles

The board lists 29 roles, and one more entry is an open talent network. About a third of the roles are in KaleidEO, the satellite payload subsidiary.

• KaleidEO: optical design engineers, a lead opto-mechanical engineer, and a camera electronics engineer who design the payloads. There are also a quality and product assurance lead, a supply chain engineer, a senior project manager, and two paid interns in mechanical and optics design.
• Dhaarini: an internal AI initiative that builds foundation models from optical, radar, and elevation data. It hires ML researchers, data scientists who curate training data and build an evaluation framework, a machine learning engineer, a full-stack engineer, and an AI product lead who works with the CTO.
• Earth observation data science: data scientists and leads who build computer vision models for agriculture, forestry, and infrastructure. The work includes segmentation, change detection, and crop classification.
• Engineering: full-stack and backend engineers who use React, FastAPI, PostgreSQL with PostGIS, and AWS. There are also a test engineer and a DevOps engineer who runs Kubernetes clusters for model serving.
• Geospatial: an engineer who processes raster imagery with Python tools.
• Product: a senior product manager for agriculture products and a product manager for the AI/ML platform.
• Finance: a finance manager.

What they look for

Data science roles ask for three to six or more years of applied machine learning or computer vision. They ask for PyTorch, Python, and models taken from prototype to production. Experience with remote sensing data is good to have in most of them, and the team lead role asks for publications or patents. Software development roles ask for a degree in computer science and production experience with Python, PostgreSQL, and AWS. KaleidEO roles ask for an engineering degree and experience in space, aerospace, or other high-reliability hardware. Two of them ask for travel of 5 to 10 percent. Most postings list the interview steps: an introductory call, two to four interview rounds, and a culture or HR round. Software development roles add an assessment. Several data science roles add an assessment and a presentation. Interns have a resume shortlist and a technical interview.
