About Ripple

The company, in brief.

What they do

Ripple builds crypto products for banks, businesses, governments, and developers. They use them to store, move, and exchange value. Its products are payments, custody of digital assets, a stablecoin, prime brokerage, and treasury management. A stablecoin is a crypto token that keeps a fixed value. Ripple also supports developers on the XRP Ledger, a public blockchain.

What they value

  • Value that moves the way information moves today.
  • Greater economic fairness and opportunity for more people.
  • Work with regulators and existing financial systems, to improve and not to disrupt.
  • Growth and curiosity: people without crypto experience can still apply.
  • A respected and empowered place in the team for every employee.
  • In-office collaboration for the moments that matter.

Where they hire

Most roles are in New York, London, San Francisco, and Chicago. Others are in Singapore, Sydney, Miami, São Paulo, Toronto, Dublin, Dubai, Geneva, and Luxembourg. No role is remote. Under its "Flexible First" policy, teams choose at least 10 days a month in the office. Postings do not mention visa sponsorship.

Teams and roles

Ripple says that it has more than 1,000 employees and 15 offices. Of the 115 open roles, 35 are in engineering and 16 in service and delivery. Many roles are listed in more than one city.

  • Ripple Treasury engineering: teams build cash forecasting, liquidity management, and payment software for corporate treasury teams, mostly in .NET and C#, React, and Ruby on Rails.
  • Platform engineering: the Financial Core team builds the systems that move money across Ripple's custodian network. The Customer Onboarding Platform team rebuilds onboarding for all products.
  • RippleX: engineers run the infrastructure for the XRP Ledger, and other roles work on developer relations, tokenization, and on-chain payments.
  • Security: senior staff engineers own AI security and product security.
  • Data and cloud: a staff data scientist leads analytics, and cloud architects work in Sydney and Singapore.
  • Service and delivery: consultants put the treasury software in place for customers.

US postings give a pay range. Postings name salary, bonuses, and equity.

What they look for

Senior software engineer roles ask for four or more years of experience. The senior staff security and partner engineer roles ask for ten or more. Many roles ask for Kubernetes, AWS, and Python. Treasury roles ask for C# and .NET, with React and SQL. Platform roles name Go, Java, Python, or TypeScript. Several teams follow "you build it, you run it", with an on-call rotation.

Some roles ask for daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude, Copilot, or Cursor. Experience in finance, payments, or blockchain is often a plus. Ripple says that people without blockchain experience can still apply.
