About Render

The company, in brief.

What they do

Render builds a cloud platform for developers who make AI-native, full-stack applications. Teams launch and scale apps without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. The platform has persistent compute, autoscaling, and built-in observability. Over 7 million developers use it. Render raised $100 million in February 2026, for $260 million in total.

What they value

  • Own impact and outcomes: every person is an owner.
  • Bring optimism and ambition to build a better future for developers.
  • Raise the quality bar in products, infrastructure, and communication.
  • Reason clearly and execute quickly, because time is precious.
  • Take the long view, and build a company that lasts for decades.
  • Build together: succeed only when users and coworkers succeed.

Where they hire

Thirty-nine of the 40 Postings are open to remote work in the United States, and 12 also accept Canada. Some roles can also sit in the San Francisco office. One executive support role is hybrid there. Every Posting says the role is generally not eligible for new visa sponsorship. Render can sponsor an existing visa transfer at its discretion.

Teams and roles

Engineering has about half of the open roles.

  • Product engineering: full-stack engineers for product, growth, billing, and expansion, plus product engineers for Postgres, Valkey (a key-value data store), and object storage.
  • Infrastructure: compute, network, security, and developer velocity engineers who work with Kubernetes and Go.
  • Engineering management: managers for product, platform, Postgres, object storage, and the agent platform.
  • Product and design: staff product managers and product designers, some for agent experience.
  • Data: data engineers, data scientists, and analytics engineers.
  • Go-to-market and business: account management, customer and forward deployed engineering, partnerships, marketing, recruiting, and an executive business partner.

Most pay ranges go from $123,000 to $324,000 USD, and most Postings offer equity. The product uses Go, TypeScript, React, Kubernetes, Postgres, Terraform, and Temporal.

What they look for

Most engineering Postings ask for 5 to 8 or more years of experience shipping or running software. Product engineering Postings ask for a strong sense of ownership and pragmatic decisions. They also ask for experience working with product and design, and comfort with distributed systems. Infrastructure Postings ask for Kubernetes or similar container orchestration. Manager Postings ask for 8 or more years as an engineer and 2 to 4 years managing people. Several roles ask for excellent communication.
