What they do
PagerDuty makes the Operations Cloud. It finds, diagnoses, and fixes problems in digital systems with AI agents and automated workflows. It connects to more than 750 other tools. About 30,000 organizations use it, including 68% of the Fortune 100. Three Amazon developers started PagerDuty in 2009. Today about 1,200 people work there.
What they value
- Champion the customer: put users first and build great products.
- Run together: create belonging and team up.
- Ack and own: see an opportunity, make it yours, and do right.
- Take the lead: improve everywhere and keep learning.
- Bring your self: earn trust, be present, and have heart.
Where they hire
PagerDuty works hybrid, with offices in Atlanta, Lisbon, London, San Francisco, Santiago, Sydney, Tokyo, and Toronto. Most open roles are in San Francisco and Atlanta, and 13 are remote in the US. Some roles ask for two days a week in the office. PagerDuty cannot employ people in some US states and Canadian provinces. No posting mentions visa sponsorship.
Teams and roles
The board lists 51 open roles. Most are on the business side.
- Sales and customer success: account managers, account and territory executives, business development representatives, and solutions consultants.
- Product marketing: launch managers, competitive intelligence, analyst relations, and developer advocates.
- Finance, legal, IT, and people: FP&A analysts, counsel, paralegals, and HRIS analysts.
- Engineering: AI/ML engineers and a senior front-end engineer in Lisbon, and a cloud security engineer in Atlanta.
- Product: pricing and platform security product managers.
The front-end stack is React, TypeScript, Node, and AWS. Engineers own and operate what they build, and the front-end role joins the on-call rotation.
What they look for
Most postings ask for three or more years of experience. Many ask for experience in SaaS (software sold as a subscription) or enterprise software. Sales and customer success roles ask for skill with Salesforce, and many ask for a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Sales roles ask for a record of meeting quota and for the MEDDICC method, a way to qualify a sale. Every posting asks people to apply even if they do not meet every requirement.
