Outmarket makes AI software for insurance brokerages. It reads policies, quotes, and other insurance documents, and it does work such as quote comparisons, policy checks, proposals, loss runs, and certificates. More than 300 agencies use it. Outmarket raised a $34.5 million Series B in September 2026, about three years after it started.

Where they hire

All 18 openings are remote and full-time. Most are open in the US, and most engineering roles are also open in India. The IT engineer, front end AI engineer, and DevOps engineer roles are open only in India. The Postings say nothing about visa sponsorship or the right to work.

Teams and roles

Most openings are in engineering, and the levels go from software engineer to principal engineer.

• Product engineering: software, full stack, and front end engineers build features with LLMs, retrieval, embeddings, and agents. The stack includes Python, TypeScript, and React.
• Data: data engineers build pipelines from agency management systems, carriers, and documents into Postgres and ClickHouse.
• Platform and security: platform, DevOps, and security engineers run Kubernetes on GCP with Terraform and Temporal, and secure a multi-tenant platform.
• Forward deployed AI engineers work with brokers, MGAs, and carriers to set up AI workflows for them.

Product managers own workflows and data ingestion. Business roles include a senior account executive, a strategy and business operations manager, and the first controller.

What they look for

Most engineering roles ask for strong Python, SQL, or TypeScript, and the seniority sets the years of experience, from one year to more than ten. Many roles ask candidates to turn messy, real-world data into reliable product features. They also ask for ownership and comfort in a fast-moving startup. Several roles ask for experience with LLMs or real daily use of AI tools. Experience in insurance, fintech, or other regulated fields is a bonus. The account executive role asks for a record of selling a new kind of product.
