About Omni

The company, in brief.

What they do

Omni is an AI analytics platform. People ask questions about their business data in plain English and get answers in seconds. A semantic model, which describes what the data means, gives everyone the same governed answer. Users can also work in workbooks or in tools such as Claude and Slack. Condé Nast and BambooHR use it.

What they value

  • "Ship it!": move quickly, ship often, and improve until the work is great.
  • High standards for performance and quality.
  • Engineers who know when to trust an AI coding agent and when not to.
  • Autonomy to set priorities and solve problems alone or with the team.
  • A supportive team that works together to win.
  • People who apply even when they do not match every point.

Where they hire

Postings name San Francisco, Denver, New York, Philadelphia, Santa Cruz, Seattle, Dublin, Sydney, and Singapore. Many United States roles are remote anywhere in the country. Hybrid roles ask for three days a week in the office. Some engineering roles are remote only near an engineering hub, with final interviews in person. Postings do not mention visa sponsorship.

Teams and roles

Omni started in 2022. Its founders come from Looker, Google, and Stitch. It says it raised $217M, and its $120M Series C valued it at $1.5B. Of the 34 open roles, 10 are in sales, 8 in marketing, 7 in solutions engineering, and 5 in engineering. The rest are in finance, revenue operations, and recruiting.

  • Product Engineer: works across the stack, for example on Blobby, the AI agent, on data modeling, or on APIs, CLIs, and MCP tools.
  • AI Engineer: tunes and measures the agentic AI analyst.
  • Frontend Engineer: builds the product and the APIs and SDKs that let companies embed Omni in their own apps. An SDK is a code library for developers.
  • Frontend Engineer, Data Visualization: sets the technical direction for charts and visual data.
  • Software Engineer, Growth Data Platform: builds data workflows for the sales and marketing teams on Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, and AWS.
  • Solutions Engineers: help the sales team prove the value of Omni to customers before they buy.

The stack is TypeScript, React with Remix, Kotlin or Java, and AWS. Most postings give a pay range, and each of those offers equity.

What they look for

Product and AI engineers need three to ten or more years building production software. Frontend roles ask for five or more years, with two at a senior level, and strong TypeScript or JavaScript. Most engineering roles ask for experience with SQL or analytics tools such as Looker or Tableau. The frontend roles also ask for skill with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor. The AI Engineer role asks for LLM systems shipped in production. An LLM is a large language model. Data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery are a plus.

The growth data role asks for two or more years on data platforms or backend systems. It also asks for tools such as Snowflake, dbt, or Dagster. Senior solutions engineers need seven or more years of pre-sales work in business intelligence, and strong SQL. Account executives need five to eight or more years of selling SaaS above quota. Many sales and solutions roles prefer people from Series A to D startups.
