About NVIDIA

The company, in brief.

What they do

NVIDIA designs GPUs and the software that runs on them. Its postings say the company worked on computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. The board names CUDA libraries, DGX Cloud, and data center systems.

What they value

  • The project is the boss, even for the chief executive.
  • Everyone contributes, and everyone belongs.
  • People work, think, and learn as a team.
  • The culture demands innovation and the highest standards.
  • Teams solve some of the hardest problems in the world.
  • Work goes out in the open, as the CUTLASS project shows.

Where they hire

Santa Clara holds the most open roles. NVIDIA also hires in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Bengaluru, Tel Aviv, Yokneam, Austin, Westford, and Durham. Eight of the twenty postings read are remote, in several United States states and in India. The postings do not mention visa sponsorship.

Teams and roles

Almost every role is technical, and the data center is the centre of the board.

  • Systems and platform software: GPU performance at scale, compute stack acceleration, data center platform enablement, rack scale infrastructure, GPU firmware, and CPU system software for the Tegra and Vera chips.
  • DGX Cloud: object storage, block and file storage on Linux, network reliability, and site reliability engineering.
  • Deep learning libraries: performance engineers who write tuned compute kernels for cuDNN, cuBLAS, and TensorRT, and communication engineers who work on NCCL and NVSHMEM inside PyTorch, vLLM, SGLang, and TensorRT-LLM.
  • Chip design: GPU architects, design verification engineers, and networking research scientists.
  • Program management: technical program managers for AI factory infrastructure and for datacenter compute servers.
  • Go to market and developer relations: OEM account managers in China, developer relations managers for enterprise AI, and AI solutions engineers.
  • Students: interns and new college graduates for 2026 and 2027.

What they look for

NVIDIA asks for a degree and a number of years. A system software role asks for a BS or MS in electrical engineering or computer science and five or more years of industry experience. A GPU architect role asks for an MS in computer science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering, or equivalent experience. Strong C and C++ come up again and again, together with operating systems, kernel programming, and computer architecture. Performance roles ask the candidate to tune parallel algorithms and to analyze how they run on the hardware. Engineering roles also ask for regression testing and CI/CD practice. Customer facing roles ask for a track record of business growth with partners and for work with senior partner leaders. The postings do not describe the interview steps.
