About Mesh

The company, in brief.

What they do

Mesh runs a crypto payments network. One integration connects a business to more than 300 exchanges and wallets. Businesses use it to accept crypto payments, take deposits, prove who owns a wallet, and settle in stablecoins or local currency. Its customers include payment service providers, exchanges, wallets, and gaming, travel, and luxury companies. Mesh started in 2020.

What they value

  • Take full ownership of outcomes.
  • Stay curious about the problems customers have.
  • Lift the people around you.
  • Keep learning.
  • Move fast and work closely with the team.

Where they hire

Mesh has hubs in San Francisco, New York, and Bangalore. Hub staff work from the office about two days a week. Eight of 17 open roles are in San Francisco or New York. Three are remote in the US, two are in Tokyo, and one is in Bangalore. Three more are remote in LATAM, the EU, and APAC.

Teams and roles

Most open roles are senior, and several are the first hire for a new function. The company has more than 100 people in the US, Europe, India, and LatAm.

  • Product and design: a head of card product for a program that lets a user pay with crypto while the merchant receives a normal card payment. A head of design owns the consumer app and every merchant surface. A founding product manager studies how AI agents buy, sell, and move money. A senior product manager on the Core team adds new exchanges and wallets.
  • Engineering: a staff backend engineer in Bangalore who builds backend services and APIs on Azure. A head of forward deployed engineering in New York reports to the CTO and builds a team that works inside the most strategic partners.
  • Security: a security operations engineer, remote in the EU, who writes detection rules, runs the SIEM platform, and leads incident response.
  • Customer success: a solutions architect for work after a contract is signed and a solutions engineer for pre-sales. Both are remote in the United States and travel about once a month.
  • Sales and business development: a director of sales in LATAM and a senior business development manager for APAC. A director in Tokyo owns sales in Japan and is also a director of the Japan entity.
  • Legal and compliance: a senior compliance director, a senior product and privacy counsel, and the first compliance officer for the Japan entity.
  • Executive and operations: a chief of staff who reports to the CEO, and the first head of corporate development for acquisitions and partnerships.

What they look for

Most postings ask for many years of experience. The chief of staff, the Japan director, the compliance director, the forward deployed engineering head, and the staff backend engineer each need ten years or more. The solutions roles need two to five years.

Knowledge of crypto or payments repeats across the board. Sales, compliance, legal, corporate development, and solutions roles require it. The founding product manager and head of design postings call it a plus. The senior product manager posting says that Mesh will teach the crypto infrastructure.

Many postings ask for use of AI tools. The card, design, sales, and solutions engineer postings each name it. Several roles ask for a person who built a function from nothing. The founding product manager must show something that they built.

The staff backend engineer needs C#, C++, Go, Java, or Python, with Azure, Kubernetes, and Terraform. The Japan roles need business-level Japanese and English. The US and Japan postings give a base salary range. US ranges are adjusted for candidates outside San Francisco and New York. The postings do not mention visa sponsorship.
