About The LEGO Group

The company, in brief.

What they do

The LEGO Group makes plastic building bricks and sells them, partly through its own shops. Its postings call it a family-owned international business and say collaboration shapes everything it does. The board covers three kinds of work at once: running LEGO brand retail stores, making the bricks in factories, and the design, marketing, and supply chain behind the product.

What they value

  • Being one of the most trusted brands in the world, which retail postings claim.
  • Collaboration, which postings name as a family-owned company's habit.
  • Inspiring people. Store leaders are asked to motivate and energise a team.
  • The brand experience in a store, which postings treat as the product itself.
  • Bringing people in early, through a large trainee and apprentice group.

Where they hire

Of 448 postings, retail store roles dominate and sit wherever a LEGO store is, including Nashville, Stuttgart, and Station Park. Factory roles sit at the moulding and packing plants, and office roles at sales offices such as Prague. The board spans Europe, the United States, and Asia. No posting is remote. German store postings are written in German.

Teams and roles

Shops are the biggest employer here by a wide margin, and the factory floor is second.

  • Retail store management: 182 postings, by far the largest group. These are supervisors and store leaders.
  • Hourly factory work: 36 in moulding, 25 in other hourly roles, 12 in packing, and five in new product introduction. These are the production line jobs.
  • Trainees, interns, and apprentices: 20 postings.
  • Product marketing: 15 postings, plus eight in digital marketing.
  • Mechanical engineering: 10 postings. Information technology engineering holds nine.
  • Account and client management: seven postings. Procurement holds seven.
  • Supply chain planning, operations, and strategy: six postings.
  • Product creative and design: six postings, which is the team that designs the sets.
  • Business process and service quality: five postings.

What they look for

Store postings describe the floor. The full-time supervisor posting asks you to train sales associates in visual merchandising to LEGO brand guidelines, review sales and margin information, keep fixtures replenished and the pricing graphics correct, watch what competitors do, and motivate a high-performing team. It calls the floor leader the face of the company. Seasonal store postings are simpler and ask you to greet every guest, run the till, and keep the store clean and safe, so they suit someone with no retail record. German Christmas temporary postings appear untranslated, so the local language is needed. Factory postings are grouped by the process, such as moulding or packing, rather than by a qualification.
