About KRAFTON

The company, in brief.

What they do

KRAFTON makes video games. Its best known property is PUBG, and postings describe building new titles and transmedia projects on that world. The company is in Seoul, with a studio campus at Pangyo. A large part of the board is an AI research division that builds foundation models, agents for game environments, and autonomous mobility research alongside the games themselves.

What they value

  • Going where no one has gone, which postings state as pioneering the path to players' dreams.
  • Bold imagination paired with breakthrough technology.
  • Research depth. The board carries postdoctoral and research scientist roles.
  • A consistent visual world, which art postings describe as a long-term visual system for the PUBG universe.
  • Stating the years wanted in the job title, so expectations are set before you read.

Where they hire

Of 60 postings, Seoul holds 57 and Pangyo three. Five of the Seoul postings write the city as Seoul, South Korea. Every posting is in South Korea and none is remote. Most postings are written in Korean with an English mission statement at the top, so reading Korean is effectively required to apply.

Teams and roles

The board is split between running the company, researching AI, and making the games.

  • Management supporting: 16 postings, the largest group, which covers corporate and business functions.
  • Data: 15 postings.
  • Business and service: 13 postings.
  • Technology: six postings, plus two in IT infrastructure.
  • Art: three postings, plus two technical artists and one sound role. These include a motion capture data worker at Pangyo advertised as an entry-level contract.
  • Development management: two postings.
  • Divisions named in the titles: AI Research, AI Frontier, and an AI Transformation department. These carry research scientists, machine learning serving engineers, foundation model evaluation engineers, and a postdoctoral researcher on large language models.

What they look for

Every job title states the experience wanted in years, written in Korean, such as five or more years or ten or more years, and many add whether the role is an internship or a fixed-term contract. Some titles are open to any level of experience. Several AI research postings are tied to South Korea's specialised research service programme, and one states plainly that the advert is for new entrants to that programme in 2026 and that applicants who do not meet the condition will be rejected, so it is not open to everyone. Art leadership postings describe the work as defining and documenting visual standards so internal and external partners build to the same quality, and say the role runs under an art director's approval rather than setting direction alone.
