Kavak buys and sells used cars and gives car loans. It also offers car care in its own workshops and a Kavak credit card. It works in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Turkey, Chile, the UAE, and Oman. More than 300,000 customers used it in Mexico. Kavak calls itself the first Mexican unicorn and says it is AI-first.

Where they hire

All openings on the board are in Mexico City. Most roles are hybrid, with one or two days a week in the Reforma Capital office. One senior backend role is remote. Postings are in Spanish, and some ask for native Spanish. The postings say nothing about visa sponsorship.

Teams and roles

Most openings are in engineering and product.

• Engineering: backend engineers in Java, Go, and Python, full stack engineers in Node.js and TypeScript, and an AI engineer who builds agents for credit decisions.
• Finance and banking: payments, cash-in and cash-out systems, SPEI transfers, and the credit card.
• Product: senior product managers for e-commerce and for the workshops, where an AI agent helps the mechanics.
• Growth: a marketing analyst for paid media.

What they look for

Postings ask for clear ownership: fix what breaks and build what is missing. Senior engineering roles ask for five to seven years of experience, and the junior role asks for one to three. Microservices, event-driven systems, and CI/CD come up often. Many engineering and product postings ask for daily use of AI tools, such as Claude Code or agent frameworks. Some roles ask for a degree, but one says that strong experience can replace it.
