About Johnson & Johnson

The company, in brief.

What they do

Johnson & Johnson works in healthcare through two parts: Innovative Medicine and MedTech. It aims to prevent, treat, and cure complex diseases, with smarter, less invasive treatments. The board names MedTech areas such as orthopaedics, electrophysiology, neurovascular, and VELYS digital surgery, and medicines in oncology, immunology, and dermatology.

What they value

  • Health is everything.
  • Our Credo guides the company.
  • A culture of inclusion and belonging, where we all belong.
  • All perspectives, abilities, and experiences are valued.
  • A hiring process that is clear, fair, and respectful of your time.

Where they hire

Most roles are in the United States, mainly Raritan, Titusville, New Brunswick, Santa Clara, and Pennsylvania. Large hubs abroad include Tokyo, Beerse, Shanghai, Manila, and Bogotá. India has about 150 roles, mostly in Bangalore, with others in Hyderabad. Some United States roles require permanent right to work without visa sponsorship.

Teams and roles

Sales and research are the largest groups.

  • MedTech sales: sales associates, clinical sales specialists, and clinical account specialists in orthopaedics, trauma, and electrophysiology.
  • Medicine sales and patient support: oncology and dermatology sales specialists, and field reimbursement managers.
  • Research and development: scientists in bioconjugates, protein analytics, and scientific computing.
  • Manufacturing and engineering: automation engineers, process engineers, and optics operators.
  • Technology and data: product managers, marketing systems, PLM platforms, and AI roles.
  • Finance and supply chain: financial analysts, planning, and materials management.
  • Students: co-ops, interns, and college recruits.

What they look for

Most postings ask for a bachelor's degree, and many prefer a master's or MBA. Years differ widely: two to four years for an analyst, and up to fifteen for a senior scientist with a BS. Some sales roles accept an associate degree or medical certification, or recent active military duty. Field sales roles need a valid driving licence, travel, and work in operating rooms. Strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork come up in almost every posting.
