The company, in brief.
What they do
Jiga is a manufacturing platform for custom mechanical parts. It connects engineers with vetted manufacturers for CNC machining, sheet metal, and injection molding. Jiga uses AI to route work to the right US manufacturers and acts as supplier of record, with full traceability. Customers include NASA, Siemens, Collins, and defense startups.
What they value
- High trust, low bullshit: real ownership, no busy-work meetings.
- Question everything: "Don't drink the kool-aid."
- No busy work and no fluff.
- Actually friendly, with weekly online games and a yearly offsite.
- Walk the factory floor: learn the machines and the materials.
- Get your hands dirty: do it by hand before you automate it.
Where they hire
Jiga is a remote-first team that works mostly async. Product and engineering staff are mostly in Europe and Israel. Eight of ten open roles are remote in the United States. One sales role is in Israel, and the logistics role is remote anywhere. Two defense roles require US citizenship, or a Green Card for one, because of ITAR rules.
Teams and roles
Jiga is a Series A company backed by Y Combinator. It calls itself a small, cash-flow-positive team, and it says it grows four times over each year. The board lists ten roles.
- Sales: a VP of sales, an account executive, a senior account executive for US defense, a senior account executive for defense in Israel, and a sales development representative.
- Supply chain operations: a program manager for production programs, a manufacturing and NPI engineer who owns first article inspection and revision control, a logistics manager, and a head of supplier growth who helps machine shops win more work.
- Marketing: a content and communications manager for aerospace and defense.
Two account executive postings give pay ranges. Some postings offer equity.
What they look for
Most roles ask for deep knowledge of custom manufacturing, such as CNC machining, injection molding, design for manufacture (DFM), and tolerances. Sales roles want a hunter who builds a pipeline through outbound work. The account executive and US defense roles ask for six or more years. The Israel role asks for ten or more years in aerospace and defense, and Hebrew and English. The program manager needs five or more years in mechanical manufacturing, and the NPI engineer six or more. The communications manager needs seven or more years in defense or aerospace.
Several postings ask applicants to send a short note, such as their best deal or story and how it happened. The postings do not describe the interview steps.
