About HubSpot

The company, in brief.

What they do

HubSpot is an AI-powered customer platform. It gives businesses the software, integrations, and resources to connect marketing, sales, and customer service on one platform. Its mission is to help millions of organizations grow better. HubSpot is a public company, and its headquarters is in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

What they value

  • Solve for the Customer: win by delivering real results for customers.
  • Be Bold, Learn Fast: choose courage over comfort, stay curious, and embrace feedback.
  • Align, Adapt & Go!: move fast together, and act without waiting for perfect.
  • Deliver with HEART: be humble, empathetic, adaptable, remarkable, and transparent.

Where they hire

Most Postings are in Ireland or the United States. Others are in the United Kingdom, Germany, Colombia, Australia, France, and Japan. Many roles let you choose office, flex, or remote work, but a remote hire must live in the country of the role. Engineering hires go to a regional office for onboarding. Postings do not say if HubSpot sponsors visas.

Teams and roles

Sales has the most roles, about two of every three Postings.

  • Sales: account executives for small business, mid-market, and corporate customers, business development representatives, presales solutions engineers, and sales managers. These roles cover Europe, Latin America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and North America.
  • Engineering: principal software engineers for the CRM, Breeze, Revenue Hub, and release engineering, principal machine learning engineers, staff technical leads, and engineering leaders. Backend work uses Java, Kafka, and MySQL.
  • Operations and data: analytics engineers, a lead data analyst, and business systems analysts.
  • Other teams: customer success, customer support, finance, product, security, marketing, and people operations.

What they look for

Sales roles ask for closing or quota-carrying sales experience. The required experience goes from under two years for early sales roles to five years or more for senior ones. Many sales roles ask for training in a sales method such as Sandler. Remote roles ask for strong communication, time management, and adaptability. Many roles need fluency in English and a second language, such as German, French, Spanish, Polish, or Japanese. Some early sales roles ask people to use AI in their daily work.
