Grafana Labs is fully remote in more than 40 countries. Engineering roles are mostly open in the US and Canada or in European countries, often in set time zones. India roles are remote sales and solutions roles for Asia-Pacific, and Bengaluru or Mumbai is preferred.

Teams and roles

Most engineering roles are senior or staff level. The backend is in Go, the frontend is in TypeScript and React, and configuration is in Jsonnet. Postings ask for multi-tenant distributed systems on Kubernetes across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Databases: the largest group. It runs Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope as cloud services, plus Adaptive Telemetry and site reliability.
• Other engineering: the Grafana application, alerting, cloud integrations, platform infrastructure, and AI features for incident response.

Engineers join on-call rotations and contribute to open source. Product roles are at staff level, and product analysts use SQL, dbt, and experiments. Staff AI engineers in marketing build agents for sales and marketing teams.
