The Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech) leads the Smart Nation initiative and the digital transformation of the public sector. It is a statutory board under the Ministry of Digital Development and Information. It builds digital services such as Singpass for citizens, businesses, and public agencies. What they look for

Postings ask for people who can work with many groups. Stakeholder management is in about three of every four Postings. Product roles ask for experience with the full product cycle, from discovery to launch, and with teams of designers, engineers, and business staff. Senior product roles ask for 7 to 10 years or more.

Engineering roles ask for full-stack web skills such as React, TypeScript, and Node.js. They also ask for cloud and DevOps skills such as AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Data roles ask for strong SQL and Python and for cloud experience. Cybersecurity roles prefer certifications such as CISSP and knowledge of models such as MITRE ATT&CK. One security role needs national security vetting.

Several Postings ask for hands-on use of AI tools in daily work. Many count public sector experience as an advantage, but do not require it. The graduate programme asks for a degree and less than one year of work experience. 29 Postings say that the role is a fixed term contract.
