About Gong

The company, in brief.

What they do

Gong makes the Gong Revenue AI Operating System for revenue teams. It brings their data, insights, and workflows into one system, with AI agents that act alongside sellers. More than 5,000 companies use Gong to understand their customers and close more deals. Amit Bendov and Eilon Reshef founded Gong in 2015.

What they value

  • Create raving fans: sell to customers who fit, and give them the best product and service.
  • Want more: never be fully satisfied, and strive to be the best at your craft.
  • Challenge conventional wisdom: question common assumptions to get extraordinary results.
  • Win as a team: put the team win above your own.
  • No sugar: be direct, speak your mind, and expect the same from peers.
  • Enjoy the ride: take the work seriously, but not yourself.

Where they hire

More than half of the Postings are in United States offices, such as Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and Chicago. Others are in Dublin, Tel Aviv, Singapore, Berlin, London, and Sydney. Most roles are hybrid, and many ask for three office days a week. One Singapore Posting says Gong is open to sponsoring a visa. Other Postings do not say.

Teams and roles

Sales has the most roles, about half of the Postings.

  • Sales: account executives for commercial, mid-market, and enterprise customers, some focused on financial services and healthcare, plus sales development representatives and sales managers.
  • Engineering: backend, frontend, DevOps, and site reliability engineers, engineering managers, and an AI agent framework team. Backend work uses Java, Spring Boot, and Python on AWS.
  • Security and IT: cloud security, cyber defense, platform security, and AI security roles.
  • Customer work: revenue architects who work as customer success managers, professional services consultants, and technical support.
  • Other teams: finance, legal, marketing, people, and product design.

What they look for

Account executive roles ask for one to three years or more of closing experience after time as an SDR or BDR. Senior enterprise and leadership roles ask for eight to ten years or more. Several Postings ask for people who are coachable and act on feedback. Some sales roles in Europe need fluency in German or French as well as English.
