About Glomo

The company, in brief.

What they do

Glomo builds payment infrastructure for businesses that move money across borders. Its products cover checkout, payment links, subscriptions, payouts, identity checks, treasury, and outward remittance from India. Glomo is the first Payment Service Provider that IFSCA authorised at GIFT IFSC, the international financial centre of India. Brokers, wealth platforms, exporters, and other businesses use it.

What they value

  • Users first: put users at the center of every product and service.
  • Move with urgency: act fast and adapt.
  • Integrity and transparency: build trust with honesty and openness.
  • Innovation and excellence: find new solutions and aim to lead the industry.
  • Teamwork and collaboration: different minds work together.

Where they hire

All ten open roles are in India. Six are at the Bengaluru office, which the board calls the headquarters. Three are in GIFT City in Gujarat, and one is open in either place. Most roles are on-site. The marketing and mobile engineering roles are hybrid. The postings say nothing about visas or sponsorship.

Teams and roles

Six of the ten open roles are in finance, risk, and compliance. The engineering team is small, and engineers work directly with the founders.

  • Finance and accounts: a finance manager in Bengaluru and an assistant manager in GIFT City. Both handle accounts, tax filings, treasury, and audits across several entities. A FinOps associate reconciles payments and settlements each day. A secretarial associate prepares board papers and company filings.
  • Risk and compliance: a senior risk manager who owns the risk framework and leads the risk team. A transaction monitoring specialist reviews alerts and files reports on suspicious transactions. Both are in GIFT City.
  • Engineering: an infrastructure engineer who runs the platform on GCP and Kubernetes. The platform is a Rails monolith with Sidekiq workers, PostgreSQL on AlloyDB, and Redis. A mobile engineer builds the Flutter and React Native SDKs that merchants put in their own apps. Glomo plans native Android and iOS SDKs.
  • Product: an associate product manager or product manager who reports to the founders. Product managers at Glomo also sell. They join sales calls, write specs, and take merchants live.
  • Marketing: one associate who does content, social media, campaigns, and events.

What they look for

Knowledge of the rules for cross-border payments repeats across the postings. Finance, risk, and compliance roles ask for FEMA, IFSCA, RBI, or AML knowledge. Several roles prefer experience with cross-border payments, SWIFT, and nostro accounts. Both finance manager roles require a Chartered Accountant from ICAI with three or more years after qualification. The risk manager role asks for eight to twelve years. The other roles that name a range ask for between zero and six years, and the marketing role is open to freshers. The product role asks for two or more years that include client-facing sales, and an MBA from a premier Indian business school. The mobile role wants depth in Kotlin or Swift and working skill in Flutter or React Native. The infrastructure role wants GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and Terraform. The mobile and product roles expect daily use of AI tools, and the finance manager roles list it as a plus. Many postings ask for strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and for ownership. No posting states a salary. The postings do not describe the interview steps.
