The company, in brief.
What they do
GiveCampus is a fundraising platform that serves only nonprofit educational institutions. More than 1,300 colleges, universities, and K-12 schools use it, with products for online giving, events, gift officers, and volunteers. It is backed by investors including Y Combinator, and it was profitable in nine of the last ten years. In 2025 it took a $140 million growth investment.
What they value
- Lead with curiosity and empathy.
- Lift up those around you, and be part of the solution.
- Take the long view, and do less, better.
- Dare mighty things.
- Make something people want, and talk to and listen to your users.
- Do things that do not scale.
Where they hire
All 11 Postings are remote-first in the United States, with several onsites each year. The team works from more than 30 states, and anyone can use the Washington, DC office. The account executives are preferred in California or the South Atlantic states. Sales and partner success roles travel 30 to 50 percent of the time. Visa sponsorship is not mentioned.
Teams and roles
The board lists 11 roles in four teams.
- Engineering: five roles. Two senior engineers build the data pipeline and integrations with school CRMs such as Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT and Salesforce. There are also a senior engineer for a new product, a site reliability engineer on AWS, an online giving engineer, and a general interest opening.
- Product: a lead product manager for data and integrations, and a senior product manager for GC Events.
- Partner success: a senior enterprise partner success manager, and an implementation specialist for GC Gift Officer who trains schools on site.
- Sales: two account executives for strategic accounts, who sell to colleges and large universities.
The stack is Ruby on Rails and React on AWS. GiveCampus plans a $100 million investment in AI product development.
What they look for
Every engineering role asks for Ruby or Ruby on Rails, and several ask for RSpec and React. The mid-level engineers need three or more years, the site reliability engineer about five, and the senior engineers six to eight or more. The product managers need five or more years, or about six for the lead role. The account executives need five to seven or more years in SaaS sales and a record of closing six-figure deals, and fundraising experience is a plus. The implementation specialist needs two to four years, and early-career people are welcome. Every Posting asks people to apply even if they do not meet every requirement.
