What they do
Figma is a design platform for teams who build products together. Its vision is to make design accessible to all. Its products include Figma Design, Figma Make, Figma Weave, Dev Mode, FigJam, Figma Slides, Figma Sites, and Figma Buzz. Figma says 95% of the Fortune 500 uses it.
What they value
- Build community: build bridges with both users and Figmates, as Figma calls its staff.
- Run with it: take initiative and be bold, not run a playbook.
- Love your craft: make complex things feel simple and solve the right problem.
- Grow as you go: give and get direct feedback, with humility and curiosity.
- Play: explore without a plan, because that is where the best ideas come from.
Where they hire
About two thirds of the 163 Postings are in the United States. Most US roles can be held from a US hub, such as San Francisco or New York, or remotely in the US. Others are in London, Berlin, Tokyo, Singapore, Paris, São Paulo, Sydney, Melbourne, Bengaluru, and Tel Aviv, often hybrid. No Posting says if Figma sponsors visas.
Teams and roles
Sales has the most Postings, 56 of 163. Engineering has 29. The rest are in business operations, design, early career, marketing, people, product, recruiting, customer support, business development, and legal.
- Sales: account executives for small business (SMB), mid-market, enterprise, and strategic accounts, plus solutions consultants, technical account managers, and customer enablement managers. Many sales roles are in London, Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney, and São Paulo.
- Engineering: software engineers for full stack, AI product, AI platforms, machine learning, C++, graphics and media, distributed systems, and data infrastructure. Also data scientists, security engineers, and engineering managers.
- Design: product designers for AI models, design systems, content management systems (CMS), and growth, plus researchers.
- Early career: software engineering, data science, data engineering, and design internships for 2027, and a PhD data scientist role.
- Figma Weave: three roles, in New York and Tel Aviv.
What they look for
The full stack role asks for experience shipping and maintaining apps in production. It asks for React and TypeScript on the front end and back-end languages such as Ruby, Python, Go, or C++. It also asks for experience with AI tools for writing code, such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude. The machine learning role asks for 5+ years, with 3+ in applied machine learning, and Python. Data scientists need 4+ years, SQL, and Python or R. Design systems designers need 5+ years and can build concepts in code. Sales roles ask for years of closing enterprise software deals and complex sales cycles of six months or more. Solutions consultants need 8+ years, with 4+ in sales engineering. Interns need clean code in one language and a grasp of data structures and algorithms. Many Postings ask for clear communication across teams. All but one Posting invites you to apply even if your experience does not match every point.
