What they do

Fam, previously FamPay, makes FamApp by Trio. It is a payments app for everyone above 11. Users get their own UPI ID and FamX card, a numberless card they design with doodles. Users can pay without a bank account. Over 10 million users pay with FamApp. IIT Roorkee alumni founded Fam in 2019, with backing from Y Combinator.

Where they hire

All 15 Postings are on site in Bengaluru, at the office in HSR Layout. No Posting is remote. Two Postings are internships. Most Postings offer relocation help. The careers page offers a flexible work schedule. The Postings say nothing about the right to work or visa sponsorship.

Teams and roles

The board has 15 Postings across six groups.

• Engineering: a tech lead manager leads engineers who build distributed systems and data pipelines in Java, Go, Python, or Kotlin on AWS. A data engineer builds a lakehouse with PySpark, SQL, and Airflow or Temporal.
• Security: a security and compliance team of fewer than five people does penetration tests, audits, and incident response. A security intern tests the web and mobile apps and the APIs.
• Finance: controllership roles run audits, GST and TDS filings, and the books in Zoho Books. A business finance role owns the annual operating plan and the board and investor reports.
• Business: partnership roles sell Fam to brands and agencies as a way to reach young users, and run user acquisition through partners.
• Marketing and content: a brand marketing manager runs campaigns across digital, influencer, and on-ground channels. A copywriter writes in-app copy, push notifications, and ads. A copy intern writes in English and Hindi.
• Design and product: a communication designer makes brand and social assets in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. A senior product designer scales Fam's design systems. A senior product manager owns metrics such as activation and retention.

What they look for

Most Postings ask for an AI-native mindset: you use AI tools in your daily work. Some name tools such as Claude, Codex, and Copilot. Full-time roles usually ask for 1 to 5 years of experience. Senior roles ask for more, such as 6 to 8 years for the product manager and 7 or more for the tech lead manager. Many Postings ask for experience in fintech or consumer internet as a plus. The security engineer role requires fintech experience. Marketing, copy, and design roles want a strong sense of Gen Z and internet culture. Design and copy roles ask for a portfolio. Finance roles ask for CA training, from Inter CA to a full CA, or an MBA in finance. They also ask for GST and TDS knowledge. Postings often ask for strong stakeholder management and end-to-end ownership. Business Postings want a builder who moves fast in ambiguity. Security intern applicants complete a capture the flag challenge.
