About Ericsson

The company, in brief.

What they do

Ericsson builds mobile networks: radio, cloud RAN, and core networks, with cloud software for operations and billing, and private 5G for enterprises. It deploys, optimizes, and manages networks for communication service providers. It says more than 40 percent of the world's mobile traffic passes through its networks.

What they value

  • Professionalism: high standards, and each person accountable for results.
  • Respect: different perspectives and skills make better outcomes.
  • Perseverance: staying at the front of innovation.
  • Integrity: open, honest, and uncompromising decisions.
  • People from all backgrounds.

Where they hire

The board lists about 470 roles. India has about 90: Noida, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Kolkata, and Chennai. The United States and Sweden have about 85 each: Plano and Austin, and Stockholm, Lund, and Linköping. Others are in Mexico, China, and Japan. Most roles are on site; about one in five is hybrid. Postings do not mention visa sponsorship.

Teams and roles

  • Service delivery: managed services and network engineers for packet core, 5G, and network design and optimization.
  • Product development: ASIC verification, software development, and cloud.
  • Technology and research, including master's thesis projects in Sweden.
  • Sales: technical sales and bid specialists for core networks.
  • Supply and logistics, finance, IT, HR, and sourcing.

What they look for

Most postings ask for a bachelor's degree in telecommunications, electronics, computer science, or a related field; some graduate roles ask for a master's. ASIC roles ask for C and verification tools. Many postings ask for good English, and academic credentials are verified.
