About Careem

The company, in brief.

What they do

Careem builds what it calls the everything app for the greater Middle East. People use it for rides, food, groceries, and payments. It started in Dubai in 2012. It works in more than 70 cities in 10 countries, from Morocco to Pakistan. Careem says it served more than 70 million customers and gave earnings to 2.5 million Captains, its drivers.

What they look for

Every Posting says that Careem looks for people who use AI to build tools and automate work. Seven of the 11 Postings ask for a bachelor's degree. Nine ask for good communication. The four account manager roles ask for 2 or more years in account management or sales, and Excel skills. The sales executive needs 3+ years in sales and a UAE driving license. The ads lead needs 12 to 15+ years in media sales, and English and Arabic. The ERP expert needs at least 15 years with ERP systems such as Oracle. The NextGen program welcomes fresh graduates at its first level and asks for 2 to 4 years at the second. Its engineers use Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, Amazon's cloud.
