Each posting says whether Capital One will sponsor a new applicant: many say it will not, and some data roles say it will consider it.

What they look for

Postings split basic and preferred qualifications, each with a number of years. Many technical roles ask for a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field, or a bachelor's in any field with experience. A senior data analyst needs two years of analytics, and a senior cyber manager needs seven years in cybersecurity. Data roles prefer Python, R, Spark, or SQL, and AWS. Some roles accept a high school diploma or military experience.
