About Bolna

The company, in brief.

What they do

Bolna makes voice AI agents that make and answer phone calls for businesses. The agents speak more than ten Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Hinglish. Businesses use them for collections, customer support, and sales. Teams build an agent in a no-code dashboard or through an API. More than 1,000 companies use Bolna.

What they value

  • Take ownership of outcomes, not only of tasks.
  • Execute: get into the work and fix what does not work.
  • Make progress without a full playbook.
  • Work in person, close to the founders.

Where they hire

All five open roles are on-site in India. Four are in Bengaluru and one is in Delhi. Two of the Bengaluru roles also list Delhi. Bolna says that its team is based in Bengaluru and works together in person. The postings do not mention remote work, visas, or sponsorship.

Teams and roles

Bolna says that its team is about 25 people. The board lists five roles, and none is in engineering or product.

  • Business: an AI Solutions Engineer writes and tests the prompts and call flows behind the voice agents, listens to call recordings, and sets up new customers. A Conversation Quality Analyst, which is an internship, annotates real calls and compares them with the grades that automated systems gave. An Enterprise Lead in Delhi leads a team of Forward Deployed Engineers and owns the largest enterprise deployments.
  • Marketing: a Marketing Manager owns social media, content, graphics, video, campaigns, and events. The events include Symphony, a voice AI conference that Bolna runs in Bengaluru in November.
  • Growth: a Product Growth Lead owns email and lifecycle campaigns, studies user funnels and cohorts, and runs experiments with the product team.

No posting gives a pay number. Three postings name ESOPs, and the growth role also names health insurance.

What they look for

Ownership and comfort with unclear problems repeat across the postings. Four of the five roles ask for strong writing or communication. The three senior roles ask for experience and for work with data: five or more years for the Enterprise Lead, three to six for the Marketing Manager, and three or more for the Product Growth Lead. The two early-career roles ask for less. The AI Solutions Engineer needs serious time spent on prompts for LLMs, and no heavy coding. The analyst needs attention to detail and curiosity about AI. Both roles prefer Hindi or another Indian language. The postings do not describe the interview steps.
