What they do

Attero recycles e-waste and used lithium-ion batteries in India. It recovers more than 22 critical minerals, such as lithium, cobalt, nickel, copper, and rare earths. It started in 2008, and its main plant is in Roorkee. It helps more than 300 makers, such as Samsung and LG, meet their recycling duties. It also runs Selsmart, which buys used devices.

All 101 roles are in India. Noida has 40, and Greater Noida has 7. The Roorkee plants have 20, Pune has 16, and the Ringus plant has 12. A few are in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and other cities. Plant and business roles make up most of the board.

• Plant operations: production engineers, shift supervisors, chemical plant operators, and associates in the unloading, battery, service, and dismantling bays, mostly in Roorkee and Pune.
• Ringus plant: a production engineer, a draftsman, a tool room engineer, a quality engineer, and a senior manager for copper production.
• Safety and EHS (environment, health, and safety): officers and associates at the plants.
• Business development: managers who sell recycling and EPR (extended producer responsibility) services, buy used batteries and metals, or grow MetalMandi, mostly in Noida.
• Research and development: scientists, a trainee, and a manager at the lab in Greater Noida.

• Technology: a DevOps engineer, a Python developer, a full-stack developer, and an AI/ML developer in Noida.

What they look for

Experience asks range from none for interns and trainees to 18 to 25 years for a senior production manager. About two thirds of the postings ask for good communication. About a third ask for Excel, and many ask for MIS reports (regular management reports). Plant roles ask for safety practice and often SAP or ERP. Many business and HR roles prefer an MBA. Business development roles want experience in batteries, metals, or recycling, and some ask for wide travel. Most research roles ask for an M.Sc.
