Albedo jobs, judged for you, free

What they do

Albedo builds satellites for very low Earth orbit (VLEO), below 300 km. It sells buses, integrated satellites, and turnkey missions. A bus is the body of a satellite that carries the payload. Its first satellite, Clarity-1, launched in March 2025 and proved the Precision bus. Its second mission, Vicinity, is a bus for payloads that need more power.

What they value

• Humility, emotional intelligence, and respect: empathy in the everyday.
• High speed, low drag: move fast with concentrated velocity.
• Default to trust and transparency: be open and honest.
• The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
• Bold, but accountable: push the lines and own it.
• Create leverage: 10x ourselves and 10x each other.

Where they hire

All six open postings are in Broomfield, Colorado, where Albedo has its headquarters. The team works in person, and the roles are on-site. The business development role also accepts candidates based in the National Capital Region. Albedo offers relocation support. Every posting requires a U.S. Person as defined under 22 CFR 120.62.

Teams and roles

The board is small, with one or two openings in each team. Most roles are senior. The team page on the Albedo site lists mostly engineers: flight software, GNC (guidance, navigation, and control), mechanical, thermal, electrical, systems, and optical.

• Software: a director of software engineering who leads three to four teams. The teams build flight software, GNC, ground systems, and applied AI. The work includes C++ on a real-time operating system and simulation with hardware in the loop.
• Electrical engineering: a lead electrical engineer for power and analog design on avionics and spacecraft power. The work covers battery management, bus regulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout in Altium.
• Program management: a technical program manager who owns one schedule across engineering, production, and software, and keeps Linear accurate.
• Engineering operations: a supply chain specialist who owns inventory, kitting, purchase orders, and shipping.
• IT and security: an engineer who owns identity, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, the network, and detection and response. The tools are Terraform on AWS, Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Sentinel, and Vanta. The role also drives the CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, and ITAR programs.
• Sales: a business development and capture manager for national security customers.

Every posting states a salary range. The lowest is $94,633 to $110,000 for the supply chain specialist. The highest is $234,323 to $269,600 for the director of software engineering. Full-time roles also get equity, a 4% 401k match, and health insurance.

What they look for

Every posting asks for builders who want to own outcomes, not tasks. Every posting also asks for systems thinkers who balance precision with iteration. Albedo says that it uses AI regularly in every discipline. The IT role requires regular use of AI tools, and the electrical role lists it as a plus.

The roles ask for experience. The supply chain role asks for three or more years, the IT role for six, and the program manager role for eight. The electrical lead needs ten years and a BSEE. The software director needs twelve years, with four of them as a leader of engineering managers. Hardware experience repeats: the program manager needs a background in hardware programs, and the supply chain role prefers work with complex hardware. The business development role prefers recent national security experience, and an active security clearance is a plus.

Albedo says that it cares more about how you think than which boxes you check. It asks people to apply even if they do not meet every line. Albedo can use AI to record, transcribe, and evaluate interview answers. Its human recruiting and hiring teams make all hiring decisions.
